United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its site contains information on its programs, current news, publications, statistics, and a research/evaluation section, which analyzes and assesses its programs. The agency’s archives are also accessible by all, and its Library & Visitors’ Centre offers a variety of information and documentation services on refugee issues as a whole.

War Torn Societies Project
WSP International assists societies torn by war to overcome conflict and to build lasting peace. This site contains information on its operations in various countries, and a section dedicated to outreach & learning, containing learning materials and programs reflecting its peace-building experience in the field.

U.N. Peace & Security
United Nations’ website devoted to peace & security worldwide. Information on current issues and related documents, along with a research guide can be found on this site.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
UNDP strives for poverty eradication through sustainable human development. Its website contains a vast amount of resources, including Human Development Reports, speeches & statements, publications, fast facts, and much more. Links to its regional websites can also be found on this site.

United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD)
An intergovernmental body that works in the field of trade and development. UNCTAD aims at the development-friendly integration of developing countries into the world economy. Its site provides access to intergovernmental deliberations and discussions, a collection of data and publications, information on its programs, and relevant statistics.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
UNIDO’s vision is to improve the living conditions of people and promote global prosperity through offering tailor-made solutions for the sustainable industrial development of developing countries and countries with economies in transition. Its site provides access to its databases, publications, annual reports, and country information.

World Bank
The World Bank is one of the world’s largest sources of development assistance. Its primary focus is on helping the poorest people and the poorest countries. Its site contains a world of information, from its annual reports, to access to archives, data, publications, statistics, information by country, and a section dedicated solely to research information on various topics and programs.

International Monetary Fund (IMF)
IMF was established to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements; to foster economic growth and high levels of employment; and to provide temporary financial assistance to countries to help ease balance of payments adjustment. Its site provides access to its various projects, publications, news, and country specific information organized in a list of countries.

Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
OECD is an international organization helping governments tackle the economic, social and governance challenges of a globalized economy. The resources on its site range from information organized by topic, access to documents, statistics, news, and information on its member countries.
