Outcomes and achievements from the Global Classrooms: Peacekeeping Unit are being measured through detailed pre and post evaluations, interviews, and other defined indicators.

1) Improved student learning

Increased student awareness of global issues
A greater understanding of how global issues can have a local impact, and how the lessons learned globally can be applied locally
Greater understanding of negotiations and resolving conflict, and improved problem solving and analytical skills
Better prepared students for a culturally diverse workforce

2) Enhanced teaching skills

Updated and effective teacher and classroom resources (maps and country information)
Learned teaching techniques through two workshops
Learned conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Improved comprehension of global affairs

3) Increased family participation in conflict resolution

Improved the students' ability to resolve conflicts peacefully in their every day lives, including their classrooms and homes
