About Us
Officially launched on June 15, 2006, the Women's Forum has become an active local community for bringing together women and men around global women's issues and programs that improve the lives of women and families in the developing world. Our mission statement summarizes our purpose:
Our Mission
The Women's Forum @ United Nations Association of Greater Boston seeks to raise awareness of the issues facing women in developing countries, to engage others in this effort, and to raise funds for programs to their benefit. In doing this, we recognize that investing in women will create a healthier global society.

What We Do The primary activity of the Women's Forum is hosting events that highlight local and international organizations that work to promote womens health, development, human rights and overall empowerment. In the first nine months after the launch of Women's Forum @ UNA-GB, we hosted seven events attended by a total of over 600 people. The response to Women's Forum programs has been overwhelmingly positive, creating new opportunities for networking between individuals and organizations with shared interests and a sense of community around international women's issues and empowerment.
Through the Women's Forum programs hosted to date, we have been able to contribute $750 each to the Kenya Oral History Center, The Himalayan Project, and Project Healthy Children, as well as $500 to the Sharing Foundation.
Please check the Calendar of Events for upcoming Women's Forum programs.
