Dan serves as the Chairman of the YPIC board. Professionally, Dan serves as Chief of Staff to the Dean of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, while pursuing a Master's at Harvard University’s Extension School. Dan has been a Delegate to the Youth General Assembly at the United Nations and a SustainUS Agent of Change Delegate to the UN Commission on Social Development. He has taught in the after-school program Citizen Schools, and is an Ordained Minister. He has completed a Certificate in Health and Human Rights from Harvard University School of Public Health, an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University, a Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University, a Certificate in Conflict Analysis from the US Institute of Peace, study with UNITAR, and studied International Relations at Lynn University.
In 2004, Dan was selected as one of 40 top state government officials by the Council of State Governments as a Henry Toll Fellow. In 2005, he was selected as a Fellow to the inaugural Eastern Leadership Academy by the Council of State Governments. Dan served as Chairman of Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century in 2005 and was selected as a Global Health Scholar by the American Medical Student Association in 2006. He was an inaugural Boston Cares Civic Leadership Fellow in 2006 and is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program. Dan was a Clinton Volunteer at the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative in 2005 and returned to work for President Clinton at the 2006 and 2007 Clinton Global Initiative. He is a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy and was selected to attend the Global Institute for Social Innovation at the London Business School. Dan was an attendee at the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative-University in New Orleans and has been selected to serve as a Campus Representative of CGI-U. Recently, Dan became Executive Director of the Massachusetts Legislator's Association, the only non-legislator to ever serve on the Executive Board. Dan also was recently chosen to attend Americans for Informed Democracy's At A Crossroads: Diplomacy and Iran Scholar program in Washington, D.C. and was accepted to the Institute for Humane Studies Social Change Workshop at Brown University. The One World Youth Project selected Dan as a One World Youth Project Ambassador. Dan is a native of Plympton, MA.

Nathaniel L. Tassinari, Treasurer |
Nathaniel (Nate) Tassinari serves as the Treasurer on YPIC board and as an active member of UNAGB. Nate became involved in YPIC and UNAGB after visiting several events in our NY chapter and deciding to get involved closer to home. Nate graduated with a BA in Economics and East European Studies from Rutgers University and holds a MA from Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) in Central and Eastern European Studies. Professionally Nate works for TD Banknorth as a Business Development and Sales Manager out of his office in Washington Square in Brookline, MA.

Alessandra Cappellino, Social Chair |
Alessandra serves as the Social Director on the YPIC board and is an active member of UNA-GB. Alessandra became involved in YPIC while she was interning with UNA-GB's education department. This past May, Alessandra graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. Alessandra will continue at Boston University to pursue an M.A. in International Relations and International Communication.

Austin Watroba, Secretary |
Austin serves as Secretary on the YPIC board and is and active member of UNAGB. He graduated with a bachelors degree in accounting in 2004 and a masters degree in accounting in 2005, both from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Austin is a CPA, and works for one of the big four accounting firms in the Boston, MA office.

Christine Horanksy, Director of Communications |
Chrissy serves as the Director of Communications on the YPIC board. An experienced public relations professional, she brings energy and expertise to her work connecting Boston's young professionals with new opportunities to be citizens of the world. She holds a master's degree in International Education from Harvard University and a bachelor's in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College. As an undergraduate she studied international development with the School for International Training in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Her senior thesis explored the role of public communication in Bolivian social transformation and was awarded honors by the college's department of anthropology. While a student at Mount Holyoke, Chrissy interned at the World Affairs Council and was a facilitator for the Intergroup Dialogue Project. She got her start at age sixteen, when she first traveled to South America with the American Field Service’s summer volunteer program. An impassioned advocate for women's education, Chrissy enjoys mentoring young women and working to heighten awareness for issues affecting girls globally. At Harvard, she served as president of the Harvard Women's Leadership Collective. In 2006 she was invited to be a guest panelist at the New England Women's Global Leadership Conference, where she spoke on her work in public relations. Her career goals are to advance support for the Millennium Development Goals through public education, outreach and communications campaigns.
