With over 60 years in the Greater Boston community, UNA-GB relies on support from companies, foundations and individuals like you. In fact, over 43% of our support comes from private individuals. Your generosity allows us to engage many groups in global dialogue, including leaders from the business, professional and academic communities, as well as school students, college students, young professionals and private individuals.

Creating Urban Diplomats

Support Our Work in Schools
From reading the newspaper or watching news reports on television, we are all aware of the achievment gap between the academic performance of economically disadvantaged students in urban areas and their more affluent suburban peers. The Greater Boston area is no exception. Model UN - where students step into the shoes of UN Ambassadors in a UN simulation - is one tool in bridging this achievement gap.
The Global Classrooms program actively works to bring the benefits of Model UN to underserved and urban students. In the past year, over 2,000 students have participated, including 700 from Boston public schools. More Boston public school students deserve the opportunities that Model UN can provide.
Your support can make a real difference in the life of a young “urban diplomat.”

Support Our Work in the Community
The UN's most impressive and vital work rarely makes the headlines. Did you know that the UN feeds 20 million children at school every day, assists 19 million refugees, fights climate change, and is currently operating 17 peacekeeping missions around the world?
As the UN continues its work for peace, security and prosperity in the world, a constructive US role is essential. UNA-GB is a voice for the UN here in the Greater Boston area, providing education about the UN and world affairs, and engaging members of our community in a dialogue about the United States role at the UN.
Your support allows us to carry out these programs for the public:
An in-depth annual conference on UN topics
Regular luncheon discussions on the UN and world affairs
A 4-day international documentary film festival
Young professionals meetings and events
UN Day Celebrations at the State House.
