Past Highlights | About Global Classrooms

The Members of the Consular Corps in Boston are the local and regional representatives of more than forty-five countries -- all UN member states -- who serve the citizens of their nations, and work to facilitate exchanges for business, education, and pleasure as well as to foster technological transfer, economic development, and international understanding. In honoring the Consular Corps, we celebrate Boston's highly international community and recognize the rich diversity of the many cultures of the United Nations as well as its commitment to achieving international peace and security mainly through diplomacy.

The Global Education Program in Boston area schools engages middle and high school students in an interactive educational experience that brings Model United Nations into the classroom through a series of class sessions that teach negotiation, communication, research and conflict resolution skills, and engenders tolerance and cooperative spirit.
