Simran Ali Malik is currently a sophomore at Northeastern University majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Law and Public Policy. Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Simran has spent 7 years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During that time she was heavily involved in Model UN as a delegate and as an organizer. Therefore she is extremely passionate about the opportunity to work with the UNAGB to further their goal of creating a more civically engaged community in Boston.
Simran has been the Marketing and PR Director for Running to Stop the Traffik, a student run NGO dedicated to combating modern day slavery. She has also worked with Jumpstart where she worked with kindergartners to improve their literacy skills in low income neighbourhoods.
Simran approaches challenges with enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and a positive attitude. She aspires to one day be involved in policy making regarding women’s development in underprivileged communities.
