Shannon is a veteran educator, having worked in East Boston and Cambridge charter schools for more than a decade. A graduate of Boston College, Shannon taught English Learners in grades 6-12 and also served as a program administrator for English Language Learner and Special Education Programming. Outside of the classroom, Shannon has worked as a teacher coach and curriculum writer, supporting other educators to engage all students in rigorous and accessible academic activities that meet learners’ needs. Shannon was a participant in her high school’s Model UN club where she first learned the importance of global citizenry and perspective taking that she works to impart on young people today.
