Honoring Leaders in Global Citizenship
For the first time since 2019, UNAGB is proud to present the Global Citizenship Award, an honor that recognizes organizations whose leadership, values, and impact reflect the spirit and mission of the United Nations. This year, UNAGB will recognize two outstanding awardees, one corporate and one nonprofit, to uplift and celebrate globally engaged organizations with strong ties to Greater Boston. Together, these honorees exemplify what it means to advance global cooperation, equity, and sustainable impact through action.

Corporate Honoree: Takeda Pharmaceuticals
UNAGB is honored to recognize Takeda as the 2025 Corporate Global Citizenship Award recipient. “Takeda’s commitment to global health, advocacy for inclusive and sustainable innovation, and leadership in shaping the future of biopharmaceuticals make the organization a deeply deserving recipient of our Global Citizenship Award,” writes Caitlin Moore, Executive Director of UNAGB. Takeda’s values-driven approach to advancing health for people and the planet reflects a deep alignment with the principles of global citizenship and long-term, patient-centered impact.

Nonprofit Honoree: NEID Global
“This year, we are honored to recognize NEID Global with the Global Citizenship Award for its exceptional leadership in advancing global philanthropy and championing equitable, community-driven solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges,” Ms. Moore says. “NEID’s commitment to trust-based giving, collaboration, and a truly global perspective exemplifies the spirit of global citizenship. Their work connecting donors to systemic, sustainable impact across borders makes NEID a deeply deserving honoree.”
